Vivo made a splash in India today, October 7, by unveiling its much-anticipated X Fold6 and V80 smartphones at the NEXT 2026 event. The X Fold6, making its India debut, is priced at INR 2,19,999 ($2,283) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. Pre-orders are now live, with sales officially starting October 13 on Vivo’s online store, Amazon, Flipkart, and authorized retailers.
Vivo X Fold6: Foldable Powerhouse Arrives
The star of the show, Vivo X Fold6, boasts a massive 8.02-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2312×2504 and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. There’s also a 6.51-inch cover screen, also LTPO AMOLED, with 120Hz refresh and 1120×2528 resolution. Under the hood, the device packs the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, ensuring flagship performance. Camera specs are headline-grabbing: a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (3x optical zoom, OIS), a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus, and dual 20MP selfie shooters — one for each screen. Powering all this is a robust 6,900 mAh battery, supporting 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. The X Fold6 runs Android 17, topped with Vivo’s new OriginOS 7 Fold.
Vivo V80: Stylish, Feature-Packed, and More Accessible
Vivo also refreshed its V-series in India with the launch of the V80, starting at Rs 62,999 for the 8GB/128GB model. The 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB variants are priced at Rs 69,999 and Rs 79,999, respectively. The V80 debuts the Android 17-based OriginOS 7 in India, bringing the latest software experience to the V-series alongside the X Fold6. It sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a zippy 144Hz refresh rate for select games (otherwise 120Hz), HDR Netflix support, and a palette of over 1.07 billion colors. Vivo touts the V80 as having the biggest battery yet for a V-series phone and highlights new AI photography features and Zeiss-branded cameras.
Pre-orders for both devices are now open, with launch offers including up to 10% instant cashback or exchange bonuses, depending on the chosen purchase channel and payment method. For now, only the standard V80 is available, with no word yet on Elite or Pro models. Vivo also introduced the S2 FE at the event, shipping with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, but full attention remains fixed on the flagship foldable and V80’s feature-rich debut.
