Finally, it is confirmed by Xiaomi that they are about to bring their latest camera centric smartphone in India on this 21 August. We already know the latest Mi A3 is the global version of Mi CC9 in China. The only difference between Mi A3 and the Mi CC9 would be the user interface as in china the Mi CC9 will run on MIUI and in India & other Countries the Mi A3 will run Latest stock Android for up to two years.
The A series by Xiaomi runs on Android One program, which means the phone will be running on Latest stock android, this time at the launch we will see the Mi A3 running on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The update to Android 10 will come after few weeks from the launch.
The Mi A3 will sport a 6.08-inch Super AMOLED display with HD+(720 x 1560) resolution secured by Gorilla Glass 5 protection; The Fingerprint scanner will be hidden under the 19.5:9 Aspect ratio display. The A lineup is famous for their camera performance so there will be a triple camera setup at the back which includes 48MP primary camera, a secondary 8MP camera followed by an 2MP camera.
The triple camera is supposed to record video up to 4K, it is expected that Mi A3 will sport a 32MP camera on the front for taking selfies. The Latest smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 chipset along with Adreno 610 GPU. In Storage department we are likely to see two variants- 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage.
Pricing & Availability
There is a 4030mAh battery with 18W fast charging to lit up the Mi A3. We have seen that Xiaomi sells its A series smartphones exclusively on Amazon.com, So, just like the previous devices Mi A3 is expected to be an Amazon Exclusive. Talking about the Price, the 64GB variant will cost around Rs. 17,999, and the 128GB variant will cost above Rs. 18,999.
Last month in Spain, Xiaomi launched the Mi A3 with starting price of EUR 249 which is equivalent to Rs. 19,900. Hence, we still have to wait and see what would be the exact pricing and specification, this time around it looks like Xiaomi is getting like OnePlus because of their pricing.
Xiaomi says that they launch budget centric smartphones under Redmi brand, but this time the company is doing something different. Last month they launched Redmi K20 & K20 Pro with starting price of Rs. 21,999, this was sort of unforeseen by their so-called Mi Fans.
