These days, many companies launching their mid-range smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 700-series chipsets which is a value for money SoC providing great processing power. So here we are about see a new smartphone by Oppo which is powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC. Hence, the Oppo K3 may also compete with the Realme X and Redmi K20 because both these phones have SD 700 Series chipsets.
However, the Redmi K20 will be slightly more powerful as it is powered by SD 730 SoC, which is obviously stronger than SD 710 SoC used on Oppo K3. Talking about the design of the K3, it features bezel-less design with gradient finish at the back. On the front there is a huge 6.5-inch AMOLED screen which has FHD+(1080 x 2340) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio; the display is secured by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
To power the display there is an Octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset based on 10 nm technology paired with the Adreno 616 GPU. There will be two variants- 6GB RAM & 64 GB Storage and 8GB RAM & 128GB storage, Oppo may also launch 256 GB variant with 8GB of RAM. To light up the whole device there is a 3765 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
The fingerprint scanner will be hidden under the screen making it an in-display finger print scanner. The sound through the speaker will have some enhancements in partnership with Dolby Atmos. Now coming to the camera department, we are about to see dual rear camera with 16MP f/1.7 apperture+2MP depth sensor, on the front there is a pop-up selfie camera with 16 MP f/2.0 aperture.
The Camera supports video recording up to 4K at 30fps, the video recording is stabilized by Electronic Image Stabilization. Oppo k3 will run ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. The Price of the phone for the base 6GB+64GB variant is expected to be approx. Rs. 16,000, whereas the 6GB + 128GB variant can be priced around Rs. 19,000, and the last is top-end variant which will be priced around Rs. 23,000.
