The Asus ROG Gaming Smartphone to finally launch in India on November 29

In June 2018 Asus unveiled its first gaming smartphone under its gaming brand- Republic of Gamers (ROG), The phone is built specifically for the people who are professional at intense gaming sessions. Now after official announcement which held five months back, the phone is ready to make an entry on Nov 29 in the Indian Market and it is most likely be available through Amazon or Flipkart.

Though it is already listed on Amazon with the price tag of Rs 109,999. Under the hood Asus ROG Phone features a custom Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at  2.96GHz, along with optimised Adreno 630 GPU. The handset is special because:-

  • it has the ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensors and advanced force-feedback haptics
  • It features a special gamer sturdy design with ports on sides and WiGig for Gamevice controller 
  • It Sports a 6 inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate for best response in gaming and 1ms response time.

The ROG Smartphone is a the one best competitor for the Razer Phone and the Xiaomi Black Shark gaming Smartphone. The Asus ROG Phone features the GameCool vapour-chamber cooling system, but if you play more, than also got you covered with detachable AeroActive Cooler for extra cooling. The handset features two customisable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force haptic feedbacks.

Asus Aura RGB lighting and Aura Sync support is also included. The Phone sports a dual 12MP +8MP camera at the rear and at the front, there is single 8MP camera. Talking about the display it has massive 6 inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. ROG phones is packed with 8GB of RAM and 512GB in internal storage, it has a 4000 mAh battery which can be charged up to 60 percent in 33 minutes.

Asus claims 7 hours of Wi-Fi gameplay with ROG Smartphone. This smartphone also features Mobile Desktop Dock for desktop-type gaming, and ASUS HyperCharge technology. The Handset runs on ROG Gaming UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset weighs 200 grams and measures 158.8×76.2×8.6mm. It sports sensors like an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ultrasonic AirTrigger sensors.
