Xiaomi Redmi 7 Launched: features Snapdragon 632 SoC, 4,000 mAh battery and 6.26″ HD+ Screen

Today the successor of Redmi 6 is finally launched in India – The Redmi 7, the company has already launched it in China last month. In Today’s event they also launched the successor of Redmi Y2 that is Redmi Y3. As suggested by the released specifications, the Redmi 7 features a 19:9 ratio 6.26 inch dot Notch display with IPS LCD technology and HD+ (1520×720) resolution.

The Display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with 2.5D curved glass on top. The Redmi 7 is available in three colors-  Eclipse Black, Lunar Red, and Comet Blue. The Notch beholds the 8MP selfie camera, which features AI beauty, Portrait mode and more. The Rear Camera comprises of 12MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture which is followed by a 2MP depth Sensor, it can record video up to 1080p at 60fps.

Both Cameras can recognize different scenes as well. Under the hood, the Redmi 7 is powered by the Octa-core 14nm Snapdragon 632 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU.The device comes in two variants that include – a 2GB RAM or 3GB RAM with 32GB storage respectively. Both variants comes with storage expansion up to 512GB. The latest budget Redmi is fueled by a decent 4000mAh battery.

The Redmi Y3 runs on the MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The device secured by fingerprint sensor at the back. As for the pricing, the company had launched the Redmi 7 at Rs. 7,999 for (2GB+32GB) variantRs 8,999 for the bigger (3GB+32GB) variant, both will be sold by Amazon India.
